_I wonder how that concerto would sound, if she cheated with her _*_right_*_ hand - but she's one hell of an artist. No doubt_

Everything about this young woman is perfection. Her attitude in style. How the height of the boot heal brings her leg length up so she can sit taller at the keyboard and her forearms can lie horizontally to the floor. How the halter neckline narrows the shoulder line. How the slit allows her movement and freedom to pedal. The haircut is perfect. A beautiful and talented young woman.

Interesting tidbit. Listen to the theme at 9:20 and then listen to the main theme of Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods. Sondheim was a huge Ravel fan, wrote his dissertation on one of the piano concerti.

There are three things competing for the greatest delight: The delight to listen to this piece being played deliciously That of enjoying the sight of this piano-ballerina The enjoyment of the witty comments ps I do find the grand piano sounds a touch harsh or hard (as an instrument)

During World War I, Paul Wittgenstein, brother of Ludwig Wittgenstein (the 20th century famous philosopher), suffered the loss of his right hand. Already an accomplished pianist before the war, Paul’s career faced a formidable challenge due to this injury. In this spirit, Maurice Ravel composed the “Concerto for the Left Hand,” dedicating it to Paul. The piece is tragically cursed, even suitable as an emotional declaration of the absurdity of war, the dirtiest by-product of humanity. War that is nothing but a plunge into the depths of Erebus. In Greek mythology, Erebus (Erèbe) is the son of Chaos and Night, and it is the darkest part of the underworld.
